About Us

PentestHero is an cybersecurity firm delivering pentests across the digital space. But, we like to think we’re more than that. Our team, headquartered in Amsterdam, combines the best of practical expertise in testing security with creativity, out-of-the-box approaches, and dedication to ongoing learning. Our approach delivers the best of modern SaaS technology with tried-and-true approaches to pentesting.

Our Vision

Modern pentesting sucks. In fact, there’s very little that’s modern about it. Most pentests are still delivered via email and lengthy PDF reports, forcing stakeholders to sift through dozens of pages of information to get what they need. It’s difficult to see what you have to do, it’s difficult to ensure data is correct, and it’s difficult to transfer data to relevant stakeholders as actionable work items.

We believe Pentests and cybersecurity are a necessity, not a luxury. That’s why we’re committed to changing how Pentests are performed and delivered. With Pentest-as-a-Service, we deliver seamless, re-occurring pentests as part of your business process. Starting a Pentest is as seamless as logging onto your company’s project management platform and starting a process. Results are delivered in real time, via our digital dashboard, presented to your teams as actionable work items. And, new pentests are scheduled as part of the current process, so you stay secure.

Our Mission

We want to deliver a better pentesting experience. We want to deliver reports that actually help our clients improve their security. We want to combine world-class and cutting-edge technology with human innovation and expertise to offer a truly quality service. We may not ever offer the world’s best customer experience, but that certainly won’t stop us from trying.

We want to change the (cybersecurity) world. And, for our clients, we already have.

"We don't cut corners, we cut waste time, so we can pentest faster, better, and more efficiently than ever before. And, it shows"

– Mike Terhaar, CEO Pentest Hero
